From Stealth to “One to Watch”

Offleash partnered with Snowflake in 2016 to reinvent the data warehouse for the cloud. We worked with the founding team directly to build the story and all elements for a splashy launch from stealth. PR strategy included utilizing CEO Bob Muglia’s Microsoft pedigree and thought leadership to position the new startup as a pioneer in an entirely new category of cloud data warehousing.

Results

Offleash worked with the Snowflake executive and marketing team to build a strong industry point of view using bylines, Q&As, surveys, rapid response, and awards, which resulted in 303 unique media mentions, 106 feature articles, 58 business press hits, 21 survey articles, 9 CEO profiles and 7 CEO bylines, as well as the Gartner Cool Vendor distinction — all within the first year. Early storytelling around market disruption and the need for “something new” made a big splash and built the foundation for Snowflake’s very bright future.
