Transforming a Brand Identity

As a late-stage/pre-IPO company, Rubrik was looking for a trusted PR partner to transform its brand identity from a backup and recovery player to a data security leader in the cybersecurity industry. Solidifying a company’s brand identity is arguably the most important element to a successful IPO strategy. Upon onboarding in January 2022, Offleash doubled down on amplifying Rubrik’s new identifier in messaging and positioning across all external communications including media briefings, content placements, podcast appearances and broadcast.

Results

Through refined executive thought leadership, concentrated long-form content, custom competitive intelligence, the creation of a cybersecurity threat research lab, strategic announcement approach, and, most importantly, a tailored media list with individualized plans of action for each journalist with desired messaging at the core, Rubrik was commonly recognized as a leading cybersecurity company long before listing day in April 2024. After Rubrik’s stock market debut, nearly 167 out of 280 total pieces of IPO-related coverage – or 60% of articles – carried key data security messaging.
