Welcome to the Offleash 10-year club: Celebrating a decade of dedication

Most of us (especially my fellow parents!) are familiar with the expression, “the days are long but the years are short.” In the fast-paced, dynamic world of tech PR, even a decade can fly by in the blink of an eye. I should know as someone who has been part of this remarkable team for over 16 years.

Last month, we celebrated the 10-year anniversaries of two Offleash powerhouses: Marta Debski and Shannon Campbell.

Marta is vice president of media at Offleash, overseeing account operations and working with clients and teams to develop strategy. In addition to leading our media practice, she also spearheads IPO communications and has led several clients to and through their stock market debuts.

When asked what makes our team unique, Marta said, “We’re not just colleagues—we’re family. Weddings, babies, deaths, divorces, new homes, illnesses, birthdays—we’ve been through it all together. And we take comfort in knowing that we have a strong foundation that will hold us up when we feel like crumbling, and show up when we’re ready to celebrate.”

Shannon is a senior account manager at Offleash, leading day-to-day activities and strategy for clients. She’s also an integral part of Offleash Research, applying insights from share of voice (SOV) reporting, competitive messaging audits, and trending topics research to create PR strategies that drive results.

Reflecting on her 10-year tenure, Shannon said, “Working in an agency for an extended period has given me a lot of experience working with—and learning from—a range of people with different backgrounds, expertise, and collaboration styles. Because of this, I am able to more easily find common ground and have a positive working relationship with just about anyone.”

We’re incredibly grateful for Marta and Shannon’s unique contributions to our team, and we can’t wait to see what their future holds.

Fun fact: these two aren’t the only PR pros who have made their home at Offleash, or left and returned, for a decade or more. Cathy Wright, Kelly Indrieri, Scott Lechner, Tanaya Lukaszewski, Tanya Carlsson—and me!—have all helped to shape the agency’s DNA over the last 10 years. And next year will mark 10-year anniversaries for Georgia Kulesa and Thea Roberti.

There’s something to be said for a team that sticks together long-term. It not only strengthens our company culture (we truly do feel like family), it also benefits client relationships and retention, too. Research has shown that employee retention and customer satisfaction are strongly linked

Having a high number of long-standing, senior team members allows us to better service our clients. We have a deep understanding of our team’s inner-workings, strengths and superpowers, including how we best operate together, and we use that knowledge to drive the best outcomes for our clients.

This longer tenure helps us develop a strong understanding of our clients’ needs and preferences. This lets us deliver an ultra-personalized service and take a more proactive approach to moving the needle for our clients.

In a world where change is often the only constant, celebrating milestones like 5-10-15-20 year anniversaries is a powerful reminder of the value long-term dedication brings to both our culture and our clients. With a team rich in experience and client understanding, we’re excited to continue working together to push the boundaries of what’s possible. We really are better together. Here’s to many more years!
